Late April to early June, or mid-September to mid-October. Shoulder seasons offer mild temperatures (68-77°F / 20-25°C), minimal crowds at the Acropolis and Plaka, lower hotel rates, and clear skies for sightseeing. July and August, while popular, are intensely hot and heavily congested. Spring also coincides with blooming wildflowers on Attica hillsides
